Mariposa in Spanish means “butterfly” and the butterfly is symbolism for transformation.  We are all in a state of transformation to fulfill our destiny.  Mariposa Enterprises LLCs, mission is to provide support to the whole person (mind, body, and spirit) by providing them with educational information, community connections, and spiritual support as they are going through the entire cancer journey (diagnosis, treatment, and recovery).  The global mission is to change the world's view of cancer.

 

Wanda S. Briscoe is a native of St. Mary’s County, Maryland.  Wanda was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2011, and she was the first person in her family to be diagnosed with this life-threatening disease. Wanda didn’t see breast cancer as a death sentence, but in turn, she saw it as a life sentence, it was a reason for her to live. Wanda started educating others about the disease, and wrote her first book in 2012, called “The Fight Within”, which is about her breast cancer journey. Wanda has become a mentor to many women as they have embarked on their own breast cancer journeys. In 2014, Wanda co-wrote an inspirational book called “The Art of Activation” with 23 other authors from around the country. In 2018, Wanda launched her first business called Mariposa Enterprises, LLC. Mariposa Enterprises’ mission is to provide support to the whole person (mind, body, spirit) by providing them with educational information, community connections, and spiritual support as they are going through the entire cancer journey (diagnosis, treatment, and recovery). Wanda recently released her latest book on May 7, 2019, entitled “The Storm Has A Ministry Too” and this book will be turned into a stage play in 2020.  Wanda recently started a radio broadcast on WBGR Gospel Network, called “Wanda’s Warriors.”  Wanda is a sought-after inspirational speaker, and she loves uplifting others by sharing her stories of triumph.
